Daywise itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Auckland Airport ( Sky tower Auckland visit )

Upon Arrival Auckland Airport , Pick up your self driven car and proceed to hotel

Check in at Auckland hotel ( Standard check in timings 01: 00 pm afternoon) dormant volcanic cones and between two harbours, the sparkling Waitemata and the brooding Manukau. Continue on through the picturesque suburb of Ponsonby, known for its historic buildings, before heading over the Harbour Bridge to the North Shore. Here you can stroll on a beautiful beach with views out across the Waitemata Harbour to Rangitoto Island and where there is time for a coffee.

After a short drive through historic Devonport, continue up to the summit of Mount Victoria for stunning panoramic views of Auckland City and historic Devonport. Mount Victoria is Devonport's very own dormant volcano. Then, travel back over the Harbour Bridge to view Westhaven Marina, one of the largest marinas in the Southern Hemisphere.

Day 3 Auckland to Rotorua ( Hobbiton Movies sets at matamata , Polynesian spa Rotorua )

Day 4 Rotorua Waitomo Glowworm Caves Guided Tour

The Waitomo Glowworm Caves are highly placed in the New Zealand vacation wish list. Thousands of tiny glowworms radiate their unmistakable luminescent light from the roof of the Waitomo Caves. You will travel through Rural New Zealand from Rotorua to the Waitomo Caves (approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes) Upon arrival, you will join a guided tour of the caves, conducted by a local guide – the highlight of which is the boat ride along the Waitomo River where you have the opportunity to see the myriad of glow worm lights that make up the Glowworm Grotto. Description:Glacier Country Helicopters is a local, family owned and operated company based in Franz Josef, on the West Coast of New Zealand. Husband and wife team Gus and Poppy started the company in January 2014 and you'll generally find one of them out flying most days.

On our Glacier Explorer flight you'll fly over the Franz Josef Glacier and then into the Southern Alps to enjoy the included 10 minute snow landing for photos. Total experience time approx. 25 minutes.

Please allow an extra 45minutes on top of your flight time to allow for checking in, transport to helicopter, loading, unloading and to return to our office.
